Over 8,000 people are infected with the Dengue virus in the Punjab.

The hospitals in the province especially in Lahore continue to be packed with people. The rush is deterring treatment for patients as the death toll from the virus continues to rise in the city.

At least 130,000 people have got them tested for the virus from Lahore General Hospital in just three weeks, Post Graduate Medical Institute Principal and Lahore General Hospital (LGH) Professor Dr Tariq Salahuddin said.
